Warranty & Manufacturer Support
At Trading Card Academy, we deal in factory-sealed collectibles from the world’s most renowned manufacturers. While trading cards are unique in that their “value” is often determined by the contents of the pack, we are committed to ensuring you receive a product that meets the highest standards of manufacturing quality.
1. The "Factory-Sealed" Guarantee
Trading Card Academy warrants that every item sold as “New” or “Sealed” is a genuine product, sourced through authorized distribution channels, and has not been tampered with, searched, or weighed. Our internal warranty covers the integrity of the seal at the time of delivery.
2. Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty
Since we are an authorized retailer, most products are covered by the original manufacturer’s limited warranty (e.g., Pokémon, Panini, Topps, Upper Deck). These warranties typically cover:
Missing Hits: If a “guaranteed” hit (like an autograph or relic) is missing from a sealed hobby box.
Production Errors: Significant printing defects or factory damage to the cards inside a sealed pack.
Packaging Defects: Manufacturing errors in the box or shrink-wrap.
Note: Most manufacturers require the original sales receipt from Trading Card Academy and the original packaging (box/wrappers) to process a claim. We recommend keeping your packaging until you have verified the contents of your break.
3. How to File a Manufacturer Claim
If you discover a manufacturing defect inside your sealed product, you must contact the manufacturer directly to initiate their specific “Quality Control” or “Damaged/Missing Hit” process.

Topps
The Pokémon Company
4. What Is Not Covered
Due to the speculative nature of the trading card hobby, the following are not covered by any warranty:
“Pull” Results: We do not warrant the market value or specific contents of the packs.
Minor Condition Flaws: Small “white nicks” or slight centering issues are common in mass production and are generally not considered warrantable defects by manufacturers.
Secondary Market Value: We do not provide a warranty on the future value of any item.
5. Trading Card Academye’s Role
While we do not manufacture the cards ourselves, we are your advocates. If you are having difficulty with a manufacturer claim regarding a product purchased from our Hoboken vault, please contact us at Support@tradingcardacademy.shop. We will provide any necessary documentation or distributor verification needed to help resolve your case.
